Rosie Wooff is a project by Esmée Olthuis and Job Cornelissen. It originated out of a need to create improvised dance and music on an equal footing. The group has been working on form and method for two years now. The result is a unique way of improvising: a method that explores and blurs the boundaries between the two disciplines. The only remaining frame of reference is style and preference. A constant quest for theatricality and a convincing form. A Rosie Wooff show has hilarious moments and absurd situations. The concept “musical space” is constructed in an inimitable manner, both literally and metaphorically.
